The Open Group 2022 Highlights, Including a Glance into 2023

Happy New Year! I hope that, wherever you are reading this, 2023 has started well for you and yours.

I believe that 2023 will be another busy and significant year for The Open Group, as was 2022. So much happened last year that I thought that I would take the opportunity to look back at some of the highlights of last year, and add a few peeks into this coming year.

MOSA is Here to Stay: A Recap of the 2021 FACE™ and SOSA™ Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) Event

I continue to be amazed by the promotion and advancement of The Open Group FACE™ and SOSA™ Technical Standards and Business Approach within the U.S. armed services. Nowhere was this more evident than at the recent FACE and SOSA Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) 2021, which was hosted by the U.S. Army, sponsored by TES-SAVi, and supported by over 45 exhibitors. This event proved decisively that the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) is here to stay.   

A Year of Growth and Opportunity: 2019 and a Look Ahead to 2020

As we usher in the new decade, I would like to express my sincerest wishes for you – our valued Members, The Open Group global community, and staff – to enjoy much happiness and great success in 2020.

What a year it has been here at The Open Group! As I reflect on 2019 and consider what is to come in 2020, one thing is very clear – The Open Group is doing even more of what it does best – helping to solve real business problems through technology standards.

AUSA Exposition and The Open Group SOSA™ Consortium – Highlights

Staff from The Open Group attended the AUSA (Association of the United States Army) Exposition at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, October 14-15, 2019.  It was a very impressive exposition with approximately 30,000 attendees from 80 countries. The 700+ exhibits were incredible from Black Hawk Helicopters to huge army tanks and all kinds of sensors.
