A consideration that is now growing in many markets is how outsourcing and off-shoring has been affected by the emergence of Cloud Computing as a kind of alternative option to hosting services.
Wednesday at The Open Group Conference in San Diego included a formal Cloud Computing conference stream. This was followed in the evening by an unstructured CloudCamp, which made an interesting contrast.
What’s needed now is a new connection between the potential of Cloud technologies and the vision of the Internet, the growth of social graph associations and wider communities and ecosystems are emerging in the movement’s wake.
Can the disciplines of architecture and information security do a better job of co-existence? What would that look like? Can we get to the point where security is truly “built in” versus “bolted on”?
